Right - imagine the above Topic was genuine for one minute.. David Sullivan and the board have pulled out of Birmingham City - Sport Newspapers have foreclosed on any loans outstanding to them an both Sullivan and the Golds have withdrew all that is owed to them and the associated companies. The club is in administration from today!... Manager Steve Bruce has stated he is also resigning due to the foreseable pressure that is likely to be on him now the club is in dire financial trouble. Newpaper reports state that today Alan Curbishley is expected to have talks with Middlesborough with a view to taking over from Monday...likewise the board of West Ham have confirmed that Alan Pardew will be given till the end of the season regardless of the teams performance. come on then - what happens now - what is your scenario to keep the club afloat and bring in someone who wants to come and manage a club in total turmoil with no forseeable future? The floor is yours! |

We are a championship club with a lot of assets, property, players, fans etc. Someone would come in. And during the admin stage we would be handled by a firm of accountants. Your point? |

What is the point of the post, your scenario is not going to happen? Yes all parties may well, in fact will, move on at some time but you are speculating a very unlikely event. The board have a lot of financial interest in the club if they were suddenly short of cash they would want to realise their assets buy selling, not just walk away. We are a profitable and saleable business as far a football clubs go. So we would have new owners, big deal we have had them before. As with all the stupid ‘there is no better manager available’ comments who’s to say a new board would not be better than the current one? The current board on the whole, until recent times, have been excellent for the club but change is not always a bad thing. As to Bruce walking I think you will find quite a large percentage of the fan base completely unfazed by that, and a fair few very happy. |

I and many many other faithful fans realise this isn't going to happen. But take a read of some other apalling threads on this message board and you can see clearly it is what a certain group of people would gladly like to happen. This is giving them the chance to say that if it did happen what would their answer be... edited by moderator |

apology accepted - I was not hitting out at anyone - I just want to know if the scenario that is wished by many on here were to come true how they would deal with it and what their wishes would be. |

From my reading of the PLC accounts, the related party loans are unseured anyway. |

I have no problems with the board, but if Bruce walked out, i would personally go on a weeks bender to celebrate. You cant get a straighter answer than that. |

If that happened i might see if i can get as many people as possible to write to Birmingham City council asking them to keep the club afloat as it bears the city name. If that doesnt pay off then maybe get as many people as possible to put money into the club we love, we will see the true supporters then. I would play for the club for free as well **thumbup youth team neways as im not old enough for first team. Then recommend Westley for caretaker of the club until someone suitable comes up :D |

We as fans could always buy the club like has happened with other clubs then install our manager who we decide it is then get promoted, win the cup and you know the rest. Nice thought eh |

I would imagine that it is a word used in a derogatory way to other readers. In a debate, you discuss the issues raised, whether they are valid or not, and pose counter arguments. In a debate you do not need words or symbols of ridicule or hatred. It says a lot that you complain about your ammunition for ridicule and hatred has been removed - you will just have to use your brain now, and debate properly :D  |

I would like to think that if this did happen the way the board of managed the Club would be able to look after its self in terms of finance until a buyer would come in. On the manager front i think that we would get one of the new generations of ex players al la Kean and Wise. I would of course be much happier if the senerio did not happen. |

Although this has been taken lightly, I think it is entirely possible that it, or something very similar is going to happen. Too many people ar e taking the board for granted, too many people are abusive and uncaring, too many people have walked away from this club. I vene read one poster saying they might walk away because they do not care about the club. Well I would not be surprised to see them walk, but not because they don't care, it will be because too many fans don't care. Second in the table now and I still see Bruce out banners, I still read people whining about the board. I also hear the signs of dissatisfaction from the key board members. I even think it might be too late for the strange so called fans that we have to turn the table. I think they might have sealed the outcome already. I just hope they are satisfied with the change that they will have brought about when and if it happens, I for one think it will be a disaster. Second in the table, no goals against in the last five league games, hte in form team in the division and 19000 supporters. Awful. |

That is precisely why I put the word in the ban filter. Gaz has some good points to make - but by adding derogatory words it turns the whole basis of his post. Debate without ridicule please. Mo x |

Ok another little senario for you, all that gaz happens and new owners come in with new management, would those of you, who believe the bruce outers have it wrong, continue going to the games with new managemnt ect? And whilst we are in cloud cookoo land would you hold your hands up if the change saw a return to a full St Andies and a team that showed flare that took them back to the Prem and a cup win? Or would you sit at home and shake your head with regret? |

Unlike the knockers and moaners, I absolutely would. I support any and anyone who is at the helm at Blues, for heavens sake I even supported Ron Saunders. Pity the knockers cannot see the sense of that stance. We would be so much better off is they did. |

If, for want of an example, you have been going to a restaurant for a long time but it has steadily being going downhill for a while would you just accept as readily complaining or boycotting is bad and keep going regardless? I would be surprised if you said yes, and genuinely meant it. Football is, probably, more loyalty based than your favourite restaurant but still there has to come a point when you question what is happening and not just blindly follow loyally along in the hope things get better. In my view everyone has the right to do whatever they, legally, feel like. If that is complaining then so be it. If the club doesn’t like that then it is up to them to do something about it to win the disenfranchised support back. By the way what has your ‘stance’ and the way we have generally supported Blues, without complaint, ever achieved? Maybe a change of attitude from the supporters can make a difference. Sitting back without complaint hasn’t done much for the trophy cabinet. |

Unfortunately some perverted souls have an inflated opinion of their own abilities and seem to bolster their status by being destructive in their criticism. No sense of reality. No acknowledgement of achievement. Just sad people. KRO! |

I'd slip the accountants in charge a tenner and have Sullivan's big chair. Bet it's comfy. |
